Ridgefield—I love it here

My husband and I moved to Ridgefield 5 years ago, and have felt as though we are on vacation ever since. As music lovers, we've enjoyed the Ridgefield Symphony, the concerts at Keeler Tavern, summer evenings at the CHIRP concerts in Ballard Park, musical services at Temple Shearith Israel on Friday nights, and many other programs. As an artist, I've gotten inspiration walking through shows at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists and the Aldrich Museum. And nothing can rival the scenery in Ridgefield—our quaint New England Main Street, the parks, the rolling hills, the trails, and the lakes.

Chief among our favorite activities have been tasting the delicious food at the local restaurants and enjoying meals cooked with ingredients from the local food shops. I often find myself thinking "I wish I could tell everyone how wonderful the food is here". So that's what this blog is about. It's a celebration of Ridgefield and its restaurants and food shops. I hope to add some recipes for meals made with local ingredients from time to time.

If you live in Ridgefield—lucky you! If you're visiting, or plan to visit, please make sure to stop at one of our fine restaurants for a truly memorable meal. Enjoy!

  1. You're so lucky to live somewhere with lots of great places to eat and socialize. New England summers lend themselves to outdoor coffee in the morning, too. Enjoy your little bit of paradise.

  3. Right you are!! I'm thinking about CHIRP concerts, because we're at the concerts every Tuesday (and some Thursdays). But we love the Acoustic Celebration concerts the rest of year!
